Astoria is one of those girls that everyone loves to hate. She was born and raised in an exclusive neighborhood outside of Paris, France and she would not have it any other way. Her parents were both very high in the French Ministry and they were often away during much of Astoria's childhood. She spent a lot of time under the care of a nanny but when her parents DID come around, they often brought presents to Astoria. The one rule in the Fletcher household was this: Astoria's way or no other. Since her parents and nanny followed this rule, Astoria grew up very spoiled and she often showed this attitude in social situations. Astoria was the definition of a spoiled brat and she was proud of this fact.
This attitude of hers did not waver once she went off to school. Her first three years were spent at Beaubaxtons Academy trying to outsnoot everyone in her year. Astoria of course succeeded at this. She was the most hated girl in school. Not to say she didn't make friends, though. There were two girls that always had her back no matter how mean she acted towards others. The summer before her fourth year, she heard her parents talking about their years at Hogwarts. After hearing about all of the fun times they had, Astoria demanded to be transferred to Hogwarts. Her parents being pushovers accepted this request, and off she went to Hogwarts for her fourth year.
Once at Hogwarts, Astoria came to learn that her status couldn't get her ANYWHERE in the school. Not one for strange people, she usually kept to herself at the school. She made a friend in Jacques Beaumont, another transfer student in her year and just as french as she was. Astoria and Jacques became an inseparable pair. Rumors started flying that the two were romantically involved. They eventually started this her sixth year at Hogwarts. This same year, Astoria had encountered adversaries in Celestina Warbuck and Jamie Reiss. The reason for this? The summer before her sixth year started, Astoria's parents decided to make her do something she did not want to do: they tried to arrange a marriage for her. Not standing for this, Astoria shipped off the promise ring she had been given to a relative overseas. Astoria hated the fact that Celestina and Jamie could have a relationship without parents and society breathing down their necks. As Astoria and Jacques' relationship staretd to blossom, her parents sent her news of her being pulled out of Hogwarts and being sent back to Beaubaxtons for her seventh and final year of schooling. She knew that her parents were doing this so she would be away from Jacques.
After Astoria finished her seventh year at Beaubaxtons, her parents once again tried to marry her off to someone she barely knew. Since she was of age, she explained to her parents that this was not the life she wanted. Her parents, once again following the philosophy of "Astoria's way or the highway", stopped trying to fix her up with random men and reluctantly allowed her to move to Paris on her own at the age of nineteen. Once in Paris, Astoria started making connections with big names in the Parisian Fashion world. Being of tall and thin stature paid off because she was hired to do her first job modeling for a witch robe line geared to the more feminine girl. This first job set Astoria's career as a model off on the right track. The more her face was seen, the bigger her contracts got.
Astoria currently resides in Paris, France. She is still modeling at the age of 27 for a high end fashion house geared to the more elegant and sophisticated woman. She is currently single and not really looking for anyone since she has just gotten out of a relationship with one of her colleagues.
